She not only came up with multiple plans of action, explaining and physically outlining each scenario, but she took the time to really understand what would be best for our family specifically. She continues to stay in touch with us, giving us advice on how to further improve our apartment, as well as setting us up with other people and services to help us make these improvements. "I can't say enough about how great it is to work with Joanna. We worked with her on our 1000 square-foot open-plan apartment (home to parents and two kids). Joanna came in and quickly helped us figure out how to make the place both "pleasing" (a word she says a lot) and functional. She came up with ideas I never would have stumbled upon myself - everything from building in a real entry way to divide our space from the living area (and so that we could deal with shoes and bags and all of our outdoor necessities) to building a kitchen island on a budget, again, to help define the space and add storage and surface space.

Her recommendations allowed us to stay in our apartment about a year longer than we would have had I attempted to design and organize the place on my own, and I'm 100% certain that her recommendations, all of the clever space saving built-ins and space dividers, in addition to the easy ones that we were able to execute by ourselves (paint this trim, changes these fixtures), resulted in a higher sale price (our Realtor told us that this was so!).

"We had 675 square feet in a wonderful friendly building in our beloved neighborhood and life was bliss!  Then we had twins! We made it work for 5 years, but we knew we needed to change, and we knew we did not want to move, but could not figure out how we could stay. When we met Joanna that all changed. Within the first few minutes of entering our apartment she had one of our major problems solved and this was indicative of her mastery throughout the process. She was able to take the pre-war charm and marry it with a new fresh feel. Her personality is what takes her over the top. To work with her is an absolute joy.
