LOWER LEVEL BEDROOM
This below sidewalk bedroom was dark and unwelcoming. The bland boxy walls, broken down furniture, and damaged floor needed a refresh. Joanna gave the client a wall of much needed organized storage. She designed areas to display the client’s interesting art and book collection by cutting into the Sheetrock wall to reveal its stone foundation, and building recessed shelving units stained to match the newly stained floor.
High hat ceiling lights make the space brighter. A new bedframe and side table blend with pieces the client already owned. The result is a comfortable, efficient, and interesting space for the client and for houseguests.
